An Interesting Time

Well the fall is going to be an interesting period. Syria, the debt ceiling, immigration reform, tax reform. There are some big issues on the table. Politics can really mess everything up, and the ball is clearly in the Republicans court. If they give President Obama support on Syria, will they feel compelled to fight him on the other issues in order to set up the battle for the 2014 mid-terms? Frankly, they should kick politics to the curb on all of thses issues and jsut do the right things, because there is too much at stake.

If we screw up Syria, the consequences for the region will be dire. And you can also bet that the threat of terrorism will also rise here.

If the debt ceiling issue is messed up yet again, will the U.S. face another downgrade, and what will that do to the Federal Reserve's plans?

The immigration reform issue is a real hot button especially for the Republicans heading into the mid-terms. The party's standing with Hispanics is pathetically low.

Stay tuned.
