Back on July 9th, we commented about President Obama's decision to delay the implementation of the employer mandate portion of PACA, without changing anything else in the bill. We questioned whether he had the constitutional authority to do that under Article II section 3. Well it seems that the President's actions have now sparked debates about how he would enforce an immigration bill, if one were to be passed. If there were sections of the bill that the President was not crazy about would he do the same thing that he has done on healthcare?
This is not the way things are supposed to work, and you can see how one bad move puts a roadblock in front of what is clearly badly needed legislation. If members of Congress can't pass a law, have it signed by the President and expect in good faith that it will be executed and enforced, it will just make the current logjam in D.C. even worse (if such a thing is possible).
I am frankly getting sick and tired of both parties acting like petulant four year olds having a fight in a sandbox. This is getting really tiresome.
